On the outside, there is calligraphy on the walls, marble jali lattice, reflective tiles and plant motifs.
The Mughal garden has elevated pathways that divide each of the four quarters of the garden into 16 sunken gardens with flowers. At other places, the serene garden is laid with green trees and fountains. There is a main gateway which is the main entrance to the tomb. It is huge and is arch shaped just like the entrance of the main Taj Mahal. There are geometric designs on walls and vaulted ceilings.
